The Portneuf Greenway Foundation's main focus over the years has been the development of a 13+ mile Greenway trail
system along the Portneuf River, through the City of Pocatello, and to public land trailheads.
Mowing weeds and removing brush and debris along the Greenway trails has always been a problem. It will be easier now with the addition of a John Deere tractor purchased with funds from the Ifft Foundation. With over 13-miles of trails to maintain, the new tractor will get a workout every year, especially when Pocatello has wet, flooding springs like we did in 2011 when several areas of the trail system were damaged by high water.
Here is Greenway Executive Director Tamara Code on the new tractor.
