SOUTH DOWNTOWN REACH
This stretch of Greenway runs south and southwest from Pre-History Park. At Pre-History Park, enjoy a scenic view of the river from Spaulding Overlook. Head west over the Great Green Bridge and follow the Greenway west through a series of small parks to Grant Avenue. Cross Grant Avenue and follow the sidewalk to the City Creek Trailhead. Cross Grant Avenue again and head directly east to Centennial Park. Here, a small footbridge takes you across the Portneuf River again to Rainey Park. The Greenway Trail runs north-south along the river from Pre-History Park to Taysom Rotary Park. Enjoy glimpses of the river through the riparian vegetation.

ACCESS
Pre-History Park Trailhead: Take South Main Street or South Arthur Avenue to Halliday Street. Head East on Halliday Street. Parking is streetside at Pre-History Park.
Centennial Park and City Creek Trailhead:Take Benton Street west to Grant Avenue. Turn left (south) on Grant Avenue. The City Creek Trailhead will be located on your right up a short gravel drive, just after the LDS Church parking lot. To get to Centennial Park, continue on for 20 more feet and make a sharp left and then an immediate right at Gypsy Gardens.
Rainey Park: From Old Town Pocatello, head south on South Arthur Avenue. Just after crossing Benton Avenue, look on your right for Rainey Park, just before the Pocatello Community Charter School and where the road turns left.
Taysom Rotary Park: From Old Town Pocatello, head south on South Arthur Avenue. It will become Bannock Highway. About 0.5 miles from where the road becomes a two-way, look for the park on your right, just after Greenway Office Park.
