MAAG-SHADYSIDE & RED HILL TRAIL
The Maag-Shadyside Trail runs north from the AMI trailhead at Upper Ross Park, along South
Fourth Avenue to Fredregill/Barton Road. The trail winds underneath the Shadyside lava
climbing cliffs, and passes through Veteran’s Memorial Park. The trail then crosses Fredregill
Road, Fourth and Fifth Avenues and heads north through the cemetery to the Red Hill Trail,
intersecting with it just north of the Bannock Humane Society. The Red Hill Trail winds along
the base of Red Hill, rising above Davis Field and emerging at the ISU Student Union Building
on Humbolt Drive. Native desert vegetation provides visual interest along this stretch of trail.
