EDSON FICHTER TRAIL AND NATURE AREA
Walk the Edson Fichter trail to the Edson Fichter Nature Preserve, set aside by the Idaho Fish & Game. Follow the meandering paths through 40 acres of riparian vegetation and native gardens. Watch for native wildlife and enjoy the serenity of this special place.


USE
ADA accessible bike and foot traffic, boat launch, and fishing pier

ACCESS
Indian Hills Soccer Complex: From South Fourth Avenue, turn right onto Fredregill Road and then turn left at the stop sign onto South Second Avenue. After 1.4 miles, the road will cross train tracks and become Cheyenne Avenue. Turn left into a paved parking area immediately before the soccer fields on your left. Trailhead is located at the far end of the parking lot, identifi ed by a gate decorated with metal geese.

Cheyenne Avenue Trail: Also accessed from Cheyenne Avenue, just west of the train tracks. Here the trail leads south to Edson Fichter Nature Preserve and north for 0.5 miles, along the Portneuf River.
